Post-Pacquiao v Marquez (My point of view on people on my twitter feed)

I noticed these strange patterns on my Twitter feed re: their reactions on the recent title fight. These guys are mostly Filipinos and you know how some of us roll (lol)

  • There are people who thought the fight was unfair, looking as if Marquez should’ve won the match, or at least, made a draw.
  • People who bash on Pacquiao doubters or just people who weren’t on Pacquiao’s side. (I was on Marquez’ side and I’m okay with the match. It’s not my obligation as a Filipino to side on Pacquiao on everything he does.)
  • People who say that everyone is becoming a sports analyst/critic or whatever after the match. (I didn’t know that people become sociologists or anthro-fucking-pologists after the match, either. Just because everyone has an opinion doesn’t mean they’re practically experts.).
  • People who actually try to think that they are actually right and better than other people.
  • People who didn’t watch the fight (lol)
  • People who think they’re better than other people because they betted (literally and figuratively) on the right man.
  • People’s double standards
  • People talking about Jinkee and Dionesia
  • People being too personal

Just sharing my observation. I don’t mean to harm but just my two cents, people have a lot to say about lots of things which usually end up on hurting each other. MAGMAHALAN NALANG TAYO (Agojo, 2011)!

But congratulations to Pacquiao for that victory! And Marquez for a hard-fought battle! Eddie Guerrerro will be proud (it’s his death anniversary today :( ). Clearly more entertaining than the Pacquiao v Mosely fight!

PS: It’s funny how people imply that if you don’t side with Pacquiao, you’re a hater and doubter, and the same people seem to hate Charice Pempengco and her ‘annoying face’ when you see her on Glee or Oprah or whatever. Double standards lol

PPS: If I may have judged you, I’m sorry. But if you ask me on where I am among those people, I fall under the “feeling sorry for my friend whose last name is also Marquez but he is definitely not a Mexican” category, as much as I don’t want to categorize stuff lol
